The humidity of 3D printing materials refers to the moisture content within the material, which significantly impacts the 3D printing process and the quality of the printed results. During 3D printing, the material undergoes complex steps such as high-temperature melting, extrusion, and solidification. If the material contains excessive moisture, it can lead to issues in the printed parts, such as surface bubbles, uneven melting, and degraded mechanical properties. Controlling the humidity of 3D printing materials is a crucial step in ensuring print quality.



The appropriate humidity requirements vary for different types of D printing materials. Generally, standard 3D printing materials require humidity to be controlled within the range of 20% to 50%. Excessive humidity can adversely affect print quality and material performance, while overly low humidity can make the material brittle and prone to breakage. Therefore, reasonably controlling humidity according to the requirements of different materials is key to ensuring stable print results and part quality.


Huajing Co., Ltd utilizes a solid polymer electrolyte membrane as its core material. It employs an active dehumidification method by applying direct current to the electrodes to electrolytically expel moisture from the device. When DC power is applied to the electrodes, the electrolyte membrane activates. Moisture (water molecules) on the anode side is decomposed into hydrogen ions (H+) and oxygen. The hydrogen ions migrate through the electrolyte membrane to the cathode side. At the cathode, these hydrogen ions react with oxygen in the air to form water molecules (in gaseous form), which are then expelled from the container.




 

The waterless electrolytic dehumidifier offers a new method for dehumidifying 3D printing materials. This dehumidifier does not produce condensation or noise during operation, and its performance is not easily affected by ambient temperature (operable from -30°C to 60°C). Additionally, this dehumidifier features a compact size, low energy consumption, easy installation, and simple maintenance.
