The principle of hair removal in hair removal devices is based on the photothermal effect, where laser and energy penetrate the skin surface to act directly on hair follicles. When sufficient energy accumulates, heat is generated, causing thermal coagulation and necrosis of the follicular tissue, thereby rendering it inactive and achieving hair removal.

 

During the hair removal process, the control unit of the functional circuit and the high-voltage switching module in the device generate significant heat. Therefore, the performance of the cooling components in a hair removal device directly impacts its heat dissipation efficiency. Poor heat dissipation can shorten the device’s lifespan and even cause skin damage. Traditional hair removal devices typically rely on natural air cooling, which has limited heat dissipation capacity and often fails to deliver satisfactory cooling results. 


Moreover, this method cannot provide an ice-cooling effect at the treatment head. In such devices, the light source components and the front air intake of the heat sink are air-cooled, resulting in slow heat dissipation, inadequate cooling, and a subpar user experience. This not only affects hair removal efficiency and effectiveness but can also lead to condensation or water droplets, potentially damaging the control circuit board. Thus, ensuring effective heat dissipation, preventing overheating or skin burns during prolonged use, and enhancing the overall user experience are key factors in product improvement. Currently, semiconductor cooling technology is widely applied in the cooling systems of beauty devices, particularly in intense pulsed light hair removal devices.
