However, its limitations must also be acknowledged:relatively low Coefficient of Performance (COP) compared with traditional compressor cooling, leading to higher energy consumption especially for large cooling capacities or large temperature differences; limited cooling power per unit area; and potential cost disadvantages in large-scale applications pursuing extreme cost-effectiveness.
